Famos - Bowie Dick Test Set for both Hollow & Porous Loads - Hospital Sterilisers and +60 litre chamber

The Famos Brand BD Test Kit is a complete Bowie-Dick Simulation Test Kit that complies with and is validated according to EN 285 (test report available on request).

The European Community Standard - EN 867 and the relevant Australian/New Zealand Standards AS/NZS 4187 that a Bowie-Dick Test shall be performed on B Class types of steam sterilizers (Pre- Vacuum) equiped with a process recorder/printer "On Commissioning, at Installation; at calibration; after repair; Daily."

The Bowie-Dick Test should be performed prior to the first batch of the day, and the responsible operator is to record the results in the Sterilizer Log System. If the test proves negative the sterilizer is to be shut down and "corrective action taken."

Daily Air Removal/Steam Penetration

The efficiency and removall of air is a critical parameter for the proper function of pre-vacuum (Class B) sterilisers. A steam penetration test should be performed in an cmpty steriliser at the beginning of every day to document the efficiency of the vacuum pumps and to indicate possible leaks and/or poor steam quality.

• Get a more sensitive warning of possible air leaks with 6 test pads to indicate pass or failure
• Brass test tube gives a component life of 1000 cycles (with correct replacement of wear parts).
• Validation according to test pack DIM EM 285.
• Colour Control Indicator has adhesive tape for attaching directly to B-D test record system. eg The Trakka Sterilizer Record & Tracking System.
